OPERATION MATTERS

Yes, the clinic is open on Sundays from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM. However, it is closed on selected evenings. Please call 68441528 in the morning to confirm if it is open in the evening before coming.

Yes, the clinic is open on public holidays from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. However, it is closed on the first two days of Chinese New Year.

Please register at least half an hour before our closing time at 1 PM, 5:30 PM, and 9:30 PM. If you register too late, the doctor may not be able to see you.

Our clinic is not under Healthier SG, but we can offer similar prices for chronic medications and management. Please discuss your needs with our doctor.

Please inform our counter staff upon arrival. The doctor will try to see you earlier. If others are also doing fasting blood tests, it will be on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Inform the counter staff. You will have to wait between 3 to 5 more patients before your turn is called. If no patients are waiting, you will be seen next.

Check your queue number on your phone if you registered via QR code. If waiting in the clinic, listen for your number to be called. Waiting time varies from 15 to 30 minutes, but on busy days, it may take up to 60 minutes.

The patient may have registered before you and left the clinic before returning later.
He/she may also have made a booking via the phone or online and get a queue number
before you. The clinic also gives priority to patients who are doing fasting blood tests or
are seriously sick or injured, e.g. bleeding from lacerations, chest pain and asthma
exacerbation. For these conditions, the doctor will exercise his judgment to attend to the
patients in need first. We seek your kind understanding on this.

Routine blood tests will usually take one to two working days to process. For
comprehensive health screening packages and special tests, it may take up to a week to
process. We will inform you when the blood test results are out.

Doctor will submit the work permit renewal online once the results are back. We will
then call you to come to collect the form and results for your own safe-keeping. There is
nothing else you need to do.

She will need to do a blood test, a urine test and a chest X-ray. You will need to submit
the application yourself together with the results.

Our normal consultation rates during weekdays varies from $25 to $32 depending on the
length of consultation. For normal consultation less than 10 minutes, the consultation
rate is $25. For longer consultations, the consult rate can go up to $40. The consultation
rate is also high if you register or enter the clinic half an hour or less before closing time.

Our repeat consultation rate is $15 if you consult the doctor for the same
condition/complaint within a week. However, the doctor will have the discretion to
waive off the consultation entirely.

This is not allowed. You can only purchase medicine for another person who has seen
the doctor in the past three months.

INSURANCE MATTERS

It depends on your insurance panel. Some insurers require the doctor to seek approval
first before referring the patients. The doctor has to assess you first to determine if your
condition require referral to see a specialist. In the event a referral is made, please check
if your specialist is on your insurance panel first before visiting.

No, this is not allowed. The insurance will only pay for genuine illness/condition which
requires consultation by the doctor. You will have to purchase medicines for your own
use.

The doctor needs time to key into the insurance portal to check if the medicines

dispensed are covered by the insurance. There are times where the insurance don’t pay
for certain medicines and we will have to call you back again to pay for them. It is more
convenient for you if we confirm all the medicines are covered by the insurance first
before dispensing them. The doctor usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes to certify and
confirm the claims. However it may take longer if the insurance portal is down.

No, this is not possible as the clinic consultation and medicine charges are different from
what the insurance is paying. The insurance has its own consultation rate and prices for
medicines which is finalized after submission and approval of claims which typically
takes up to three months. Furthermore, the insurance will deduct from the claim to pay
for its management fees which varies from 10 to 15%. Hence as the amount the
insurance is paying is usually less than what the clinic charges on paper, the clinic

invoice will not reflect accurately the final settlement. However for patients with co-
payment, the clinic is able to issue a written receipt detailing the amount of money paid.

Yes. We charge between $500 to $600 for a formal type-written medical report and $20
to $40 for a simple memo depending on the length of the report/memo. For insurance
claims for road traffic accidents, your lawyer will usually send an official request for a
medical report and pay for it. For insurance claims, you will have to pay for the memo
as it is a medico-legal document which requires the doctor’s time and expertise to write.
A formal medical report will need more time to prepare and your insurer will have to
pay for it.

These sessions are considered out of office hours as most clinics are closed. The clinic charges $40 to $50 for consultation during this sessions. Insurance panels do not cover these surcharges.
This is not allowed by the insurers. It is stipulated clearly under their rules and guidelines that patients have to consult the doctor before medicines can be dispensed. Please check with your insurers or HR for more information.
This is not allowed by the insurers which require the doctor to consult and examine their patients first before issuing MCs. The MCs will have to be documented and submitted to the insurer’s portals for record purposes.
No you can’t. The insurance panels our clinic are on do not cover teleconsult. Some of them may have their own teleconsult providers. Please check with your insurers or HR for more information.

You need to fast a minimum of 8 hours. You can drink water, but avoid other drinks such
as tea, coffee, juices and soft drinks.

A minority of patients may develop a swelling in the arm/buttocks after voltaren

injection. It is a known benign side effective. You can apply some ice pack on the
swelling and it will usually reduce in size or disappear after a few days. Occasionally, it
may last for a few months, but it is not harmful to your body in any way.

This is usually caused by delay healing of the vein where blood is taken causing blood to
leak out into the surrounding tissues causing a visible bruise on the surface. It is more
common in elderly patients or patients with fine veins. You can apply an ice pack on the
bruise and it will usually dissipate within a weak. No other medical treatment is needed.

doctors.

Yes, you can extend your MC for up to a day without seeing the doctor. However if you need to rest for two days or longer, you will have to consult the doctor again. For insurance patients, you cannot extend your MC without seeing the doctor as the insurance panels require the doctor to examine you and submit your MC on their portal for record purposes.
No, you can’t. MCs are medico-legal documents. Doctor will have to examine you first before issuing an appropriate number of days of MC depending on your medical condition.
